Ingredients
- 1 lb Ground Pork
- ½ head Green Cabbage, sliced into ribbons
- 1 onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- ½ cup uncooked long-grain rice
- 1 can (14 oz) crushed tomatoes
- 1½ cups chicken stock
- 1 tsp sweet paprika
- 1 tsp dried marjoram
- 2 tbsp oil
- Salt, pepper, and sour cream for serving
Method
- Brown the Ground Pork in oil in a deep skillet over medium-high, breaking it into rubble, until cooked through (160°F; 165°F for poultry). Push to one side and soften the onion and garlic.
- Stir in paprika and marjoram, then the rice, coating it in the drippings for 1 minute.
- Add the Green Cabbage, tomatoes, and stock, season, and bring to a simmer. Cover and cook on low 20–22 minutes until the rice is tender and the Green Cabbage has gone silky.
- Rest 5 minutes off the heat, lid on — the rice drinks up the last of the sauce.
- Serve in bowls with a cold spoonful of sour cream melting on top.
